Access the Genocide Group Project Directions assignment in google classroom.
Type in the Genocide that your group has been assigned as well as the names of the other members in your group.
Task:
Using the source sheet, gather 8 sources on your genocide. By the end of today, your source sheet must include the MLA citation and link to 5 of those 8 sources.
Once you have those five articles, begin looking through them. Do they answer the question you need to answer? If they do, begin reading and annotating them. Highlight the main idea or claim, evidence or support for the claim, and any additional information you think is important.

- Open your Genocide Group Project Directions and your Genocide Source Sheet
- Go over the Research Questions on the Genocide Group Project Directions and number them 1-8
Once you have five article links and citations, begin looking through them. Do they answer the question you need to answer? If they do, copy them to a google doc.
Begin reading and annotating them. Highlight the main idea or claim, evidence or support for the claim, and any additional information you think is important.
- Scan your first source. Ask yourself does it answer any of the research questions?
- If the answer is no, move on to the next. If the answer is yes, copy that source into a google doc and link it to your source sheet under “My Commentary”.
- Read and annotate the article. Highlight the author’s claim, support, and additional information. Keep in mind you are looking for the answers to your research questions.

Your assignment for today is to finish gathering your sources and determining if those sources will answer your research questions.
If it appears that your source will answer at least one of your research questions, complete the source sheet for that source.
Important Paragraphs: Copy and paste the question/s it will answer and then copy the paragraphs from the source that answer the question.
Your commentary: Your response to the information you copied.

If you cannot find any more sources using the databases, you may do a google search. For those sources, you must run a CRAAP test to ensure it is an appropriate source and you must make your own citation (using easybib). Your pages must include a visual or media.
All of your sources, visuals, and media must be included on your works cited page in MLA format.
